The Ins and Outs of FLIP:
- When will my FLIP arrive?
It typically takes 24 to 48 hours to leave our facility and then 5 to 7 business days to arrive at your door.
- The expiration date on my bottle is 10/20?
Oops! Some bottles of FLIP have an incorrect expiration date printed on the bottle. The FDA has approved the current batch to be sold through April 2021. We have corrected the label on most shipments but if you received an incorrect label we apologize! We could not legally sell the product if the FDA had not approved it so we assure you that FLIP is safe through April 2021!
- What are the ingredients in FLIP?
Water, Glycerol, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Sodium Phosphate
- I have heard about health concerns with “parabens”, does FLIP contain any of those?
There is an extremely low level of parabens used in FLIP as a preservative. Parabens are designated by the FDA as Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) ingredients, and, additionally, the levels in FLIP are extremely low while still inhibiting the growth of bacteria and microorganisms. Our team of scientific researchers have spent years studying parabens, and we agree with the FDA and other scientific authorities around the world that parabens are safe for use in a personal lubricant (contact with the mucous membranes).
- Will FLIP damage condoms?
Condoms matter! Risky sex isn’t always fun sex! Since FLIP is water-based, it won’t damage condoms the way silicone lubricants do. Use FLIP with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms, but NOT with polyurethane condoms.
- Will FLIP ruin my sex toys?
Sex toys are safe with FLIP. Many rubber and silicone sex toys are made of porous materials, where bacteria and viruses can get trapped. Gross! Total mood kill. Silicone lubricants cause these toys to degrade or even turn into a sticky, gooey waste of money. (Toys made of “Platinum grade” silicone can be more resistant to damage, but they are more expensive.)
- Does FLIP prevent against HIV or other sexually transmitted organisms?
FLIP does not prevent the transmission of HIV or other organisms that are sexually transmitted. Wear a condom! Safer sex is sexier sex!
- What happens if I get FLIP in my mouth?
We get it. Sometimes things get a little crazy. If you ingest a small amount, no worries! FLIP’s ingredients are used at concentrations the FDA has deemed Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS)!
